““I am an oil painter grounded in art that exists in the social landscape; drawn to the visual symbols that are cues for our common experience. The major impetus for my work is an inquiry into my subject's past as witness, with it's narrative potential as an essential component in the works development. As an artist, my aim is to interpreting reality, editing and shaping until a piece develops a meaningful voice.” - Sally Grigas
